The Great White Shark

A legend. Finished in third place in the Open last week. An incredible achievement for the 53 year old who had not played a major for three years and who now only plays a limited amount of golf. The former World number one and two time Open Champion is a true golfing great. Articulate and a nice guy, he is a brilliant entrepreneur who has built a fortune worth several hundreds of millions of dollars. One of the greatest golfers of all time, he spent over 330 weeks as World number one during the 80s and 90s. The man in the middle of Jack Nicklaus’ and Tiger Woods’ respective eras. Not a bad place to be! We salute you Greg.

Talentless Ladette

This girl is an example of modern Britain. Ill educated, foul mouthed and totally devoid of any talent. I had the misfortune of watching a few minutes of her new series on Channel 4 the other night. I found her to be wooden and very fake in front of the camera. As for her singing at the end of the show, abysmal. Voice of an Angel? Those days have certainly gone. I almost find myself liking her for being able to make a fortune with such limited talent. A deserved winner of this weeks boobie prize.

Why do parents with children need a special parking space?! It’s another example of politically correct Britain. My parents did not have parent and child(PC) spaces but managed just fine. And what happens when all the PC spaces are taken?? Well, now this is a good one! I saw this with my very own eyes! I went to a supermarket and was driving round looking for a PC space (I always try to park in them just to be un-PC!). Anyway, none were available so I parked up and walked over to the entrance. By the full PC spaces was a woman with a child in her car with her indicator on waiting for a PC space when, I kid you not, there was a regular space right opposite! That’s not all! When I walked out of the supermarket about 15 minutes later, she was still waiting there with her indicator on! Unbelievable!

A parent and child space is just a space. It is not legally enforcable by law. Some supermarkets now have signs up threatening to fine or clamp. However you do not have to pay their “fine”, it is basically nothing more than an invoice, NOT a penalty ticket with any legal implications.

Also, where do they draw a line as to what age a child is a child. I’ve seen parents with kids as old as 11 or 12 parking in these spaces. It’s just laziness as far as I’m concerned. Previous generations of parents did just fine without, so what exactly makes todays lot so special?

“Urban culture” is, I feel, a huge cancer eating its way through society today. I strongly feel that rap music plays a large part in violent crimes, and “urban” youths are heavily influenced by the whole culture that goes with rap music. I came across a major rap stars website and was frankly shocked to see, on the front page, a picture of him holding a gun pointing at the camera, and everytime you clicked a link on the website it fired a gunshot. Many black youths clearly aspire to this rap lifestyle, and as is painfully plain to see, everything that goes with it.

The trouble is, we are just too politically correct in Britain for fear of being branded racist. When reading or watching the news, rarely will you hear a reporter mention the ethnic and/or social backgrounds of either victim or suspect. Like it or not the reality is that the vast majority of knife crime in the UK originates from young ethnic males from “less safe” inner city estates and communities. The sooner we get over this “softly softly” political correctness, the sooner we may be able to actually prevent violent crime rather than “heal” the criminals afterwards.
